Mayor Robert Reichert and other local leaders took a tour at Pratt Industries Recycling Center in Conyers on Friday to see how Pratt operates.
Chris Floore with the mayor’s office said the Macon-Bibb County government is researching different ways to recycle to avoid filling up the landfill.
Floore said efforts are underway to move more recyclable material out of the landfill to keep it from closing.
