Convenience Center
Macon-Bibb CountyMacon-Bibb County has opened three of its five planned Convenience Centers to better serve the needs of the community. They are located on 11th Street near the entrance of the closed landfill and at 4214 Fulton Mill Road behind the Animal Welfare Center, and 1520 Ninadel Dr.
The 11th Street location is open seven days a week from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and the Fulton Mill Road location is open Thursday through Sunday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., Ninadel Dr location is open Saturday and Sunday 8:30am-2:00pm (Operating hour are subject to change at each location depending on weather, holidays, and other extenuating circumstances). You’ll need to have a valid/current Driver’s License showing you are a Bibb County resident.
“This is another step in keeping our community clean and giving everyone the opportunity to dispose of trash properly,” said Mayor Lester Miller. “Providing an additional center to dispose of debris will not only provide convenience for people but will hopefully cut down on illegal dumping.”
People can bring, free of charge:
- Bagged household garbage
- Furniture
- Tires
- Yard debris (No logs or tree stumps)
- Building material
- Recycling
- Scrap metal (Only at 11th Street and Fulton Mill locations)
PLEASE NOTE: THE 11th ST LOCATION IS THE ONLY CENTER THAT ACCEPTS:
- Concrete
- Batteries
- Paint
No oils, hazardous liquids, insulation or roofing material will be accepted at any of the locations.
